El Espejo Girls Summer Research Institute

What is El Espejo?
El Espejo means “the mirror” in Spanish. El Espejo is a summer science research program for girls where you will “see” yourself as a scientist. During the program, you will experience what it is like to be a scientist through different activities and projects at the Poudre Learning Center (PLC). During the week you will also have the opportunity to do your own research investigation in small teams. Come have tons of fun, and make new friends!
Who can apply?
Girls exiting 5th-8th grade are eligible to apply.
When is it?
June 22nd - 29th (9am-3:30pm).
Overnight stay Saturday, June 23rd
Does it cost anything?
Yes, the program does cost some money. We have scholarships (up to $150) available for girls whose families need financial assistance to pay but would like to participate. Be sure to fill out the “Scholarship Page” as part of your application.
What if I don’t have transportation to the PLC?
The PLC is located on 83rd Avenue north of 10th Street in Greeley. If your family cannot drive you to the center, you can catch a shuttle van at any of the middle schools in Greeley.
How do I apply?
